Although Floorball CCA is relatively new as it was set up only a year ago, the team consists of close-knit male and female members who are committed to improvement and progress. We are still growing and we hope to be able to achieve greater heights in time to come.
Floorball is also a relatively new sport that has been making waves in the local sports scene. The sport has seen great development ever since it was introduced to Singapore by Mr Stefan Dahlgren back in 1994. There are currently about 10,000 floorball players in Singapore with approximately 200 schools and 100 local clubs actively involved.
For the 2018 season, the boys’ team took part in Faceoff, an island wide competition organised by NTUC, and did well by progressing to the 2nd round of the competition. The tournament prepared them well for the National Schools Games and both the Boys’ and Girls’ teams showed tremendous improvement in their results compared to the previous year.
The team aims to continue to improve and achieve better results in every competition we participate in. As a CCA, we aim to strengthen teamwork through bonding activities outside of training. Moreover, individual members will be working hard on fitness and skills.
Frequent emphasis on values like Respect and Resilience not only ensures success both on and off the court but also aids in the holistic development of our members, equipping them with the necessary competencies for the 21st century.
